Becoming a Divemaster is the first step to turning your weekend and holiday diving hobby into a full time profession. PADI Divemasters and Instructors are qualified to work in the dive industry all over the world and there are many opportunities for divemasters here in Thailand and in other parts of South East Asia. You can begin the program with any certification level, even if you have never dove before.

During the PADI Divemaster programme, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organise and solve problems. You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises.
By the end of the Divemaster Course you will be fully prepared for the realities of life working as a Divemaster and as a Certified Assistant to an Instructor. You will receive hands-on practical training working with our Divemasters and Instructors on board our vessel M/V Manta Queen. Although you only require 40 dives to start the Divemaster Course, you need 60 dives to complete. Upon successful completion of your PADI Divemaster Course you will become a member of PADI.
Maybe you want to go on to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor? Completion of the Divemaster Course qualifies you to attend a PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) with Similan Dive Center.
